Very interesting concept! I saw this place on a friend's IG story and knew I had to check it out. It's not AYCE but rather, there are combo sets for 2-4 people, or you can order ala carte with plates coming with 3 or 5 sticks. The hole in the middle is lit and turned on and you'll see that both sides are oscillating in opposite directions. Be sure when you get your sticks, you place the flower looking thing at the end, into the holes otherwise, your skewer will not cook on both sides. The inside can sit a out a good 7-tables of 4 people, possibly one with 6-people so I would recommend making reservations before going. Parking will be a bit trickier because you're at the mercy of street parking but I heard there's a municipal lot across the street. Worth checking out!

Not a big place but the set up is very cozy. Food came out relatively quick. Beef is super good and easy to cook. Pork belly also is a must try. All other items like seafood, vege and other meats are toward a bit spicy. Service was excellent, gave us a quick lesson on how long to cook various of items and still patiently explaining it over and over again. Everyone used their phone's timer in the restaurant so I wasn't sure which one was mine, but luckily didn't over cook or burn my food.

Great quality meat and seafood. Interesting self grilling concept with mechanical machines that self rotate each skewer. Beef, lamb, intestine, pork belly, abalone, oysters and scallops. Everything is good. The grill oyster is the best. It is very fresh and they top it off with garlic chili sauce. Even the edamame appetizer (on the house) is seasoned to perfection. Limited free parking at the back lot. Lots of paid parking across the street.

One night searching for Tanghulu, my friend found Honolulu Skewer house. Open till 11:00pm, we drove from the west side of Oahu to kapahulu in town. Parking in the back of building, street parking, or public parking across the street, you can pay per hour. We came for the tanghulu, but wanted to come back for the food. We came back actually 3 more times, 4 weeks in a row, lol. Many more times after that. Restaurant is small and cozy, they get busy, so reservations is highly recommended. Staff is always so nice and accommodating. Price is so affordable, go in hungry, and leave so satisfied, full, and happy. My friends and I love the food. Everything is so yummy, and flavorful. Cute concept in cooking the food with skewers. Pork, chicken, and meats, are all seasoned to perfection. Decent bar selection, and they have my favorite beer, Echigo, served chilled and cold. Ambiance is just so relaxing and chill, no matter we live west side, we will drive for the delicious food, and fun filled atmosphere to get together with friends. Last visit, we celebrated my friends birthday, and we loved the food, and just the vibe of staff and atmosphere. Brought many more friends and their sold on the food so good, I'm salivating. They give you tanghulu, on the house, if they don't run out. Bathroom is always clean and conveniently in restaurant in the back. Already planning when we are going back, see you there.

Fun place. Machine on table will roll and grill your skewers to make sure even heating for you. Limited seatings is an issue so better call ahead and make reservation. Ordered its "H2. Pork Sliders" based on its chinese menu and was expecting it would come with tradtional baked buns, but was surpised when it served with steam bun instead. However, it's still very tasty. Good place to bring friends, or try something new. But expect to get rushed a bit if other customers are waiting outside.

The wife and I wanted to come here cause we don't have a good skewer place like this from Las Vegas where we from. Went in on a no reservation and there was a 1 hour wait (no problem) and I didn't know what to expect! We got seated in an hour and we picked different meats we liked and asked the server his favorites were so we got lamb, pork jowl, beef, beef tendon, hanging cucumber pork belly appetizer and omg it did not disappoint. The echigo beer was super delicious and was super light and crisp. There was a shaker of a seasoning that you can dip your meat in and it turned the experience up a notch in flavor town. I thoroughly enjoyed every part meat that was cooked and the lamb really shined in this meal. I don't usually like lamb because of gameyness (however you spell it) but this was not the case for these skewers of lamb! it was super delicious! The hanging cucumber was super good and you can put that sauce on a shoe and eat it.. so bomb! The waiter checked on us all the time and made sure we were taken care of and made it an enjoyable experience for our first time here. I would definitely come back again and try the other meats.. good vibes!

My friend mentioned this place and we decided to try it. Not realizing we may have issues getting in without a reservation, she called that day and got one at 730 pm on a Sunday. I read other Yelp! Reviewers mention parking was an issue so I planned on getting there a bit early to get street parking because it is free (at least on that part of Kapahulu) on Sunday's. I was lucky to get one of a few street stalls in front of St. Marks church a couple feet down from the restaurant on the same side of the street. Other parking options are the municipal lot right across the street but not sure about the cost. If in doubt about street parking, the digital meter tells you if you have to pay. Note: those stalls are marked for 2 hour limits, but not Sunday and holiday. We were sat a little after our reservation time and many people were going in and out. There are only a few tables so reseda actions are a must! We were offered free edamame while we looked at the menu. We ordered the normal stuff: vegetarian tiger salad, chicken thigh, beef, enoki mushroom, egg plant, zucchini, and mini sausage. Each skewer item comes with 3 or 6 skewers which you can choose to share or eat all of. All the items we got came with multiple slices/pieces. They all came with a dusting of house seasoning which the waiter asked if anyone had allergies and we said no. My favorite thing was the enoki mushroom because when cooked on the flat tin foil plate, the seasoning caramelized and added such a great crunchy flavor to the mushrooms. They also have hot sauce and more dry seasoning on the table to add to your food. I thought the seasoning wasn't very spicy and had a prominent taste of cumin. The salad didn't come with meat and was almost like a cucumber salad for how much and big the chunks were. It was such a nice refreshing salad I could eat it every day! We had such a great time and I can't wait to go back and try more of their dishes.

4.5/5 This establishment is pretty small and there are only two workers, but the food is good (albeit pricey). The downside to this establishment was the lack of airflow. With the smoke going and the summer heat it did feel like we were being suffocated at times. Definitely make reservations as the wait can be long. The meat comes out raw and cooks on the grill and some grills cook faster than others. The seasoning on the meat was really good and I enjoyed it immensely. At the end we received complimentary tanghulu which was delicious! Would return!
